HealthSouth Chattanooga and the American Heart Association to Host “Power in the Plaza” on May 12

As part of its ongoing partnership with the American Heart Association, HealthSouth Chattanooga will host the first ever “Power in the Plaza” on May 12.  The event will occur during the lunchtime hour in Miller Plaza in downtown Chattanooga.  Participants will have the opportunity to visit various booths to learn more about the warning signs and risk factors associated with stroke as well as treatment options for rehabilitation after stroke.  A particular emphasis will be placed on learning the acronym F.A.S.T. for the warning signs of stroke (F – facial drooping, A – arm weakness, S – speech difficulty, T – time to call 911).  For those who participate in the activities, lunch will be provided.
